Poems

I started writing poetry as a preteen.

My grandmother passed away when I was in seventh grade after a long battle with cancer. Poetry was how I learned to deal with those extreme emotions.
Throughout my life, I’ve always come back to it. It has always been at times of great happiness or great sorrow.

My longform poetry explores themes of inherited trauma, breaking free of expectations and gratitude.
I also write in short form, because sometimes you don’t need many words to get your point across.

Feel free to explore if this interests you.
